Who is Lalie?
A little about the person behind the pages
I’m Lalie Lours — a high schooler in NYC, a writer, and a margin-filler who reads with a highlighter and a whole lot of heart.
This is where I track the stories that stick — the questions, the underlines, the characters I can’t forget.
Why I Do This
I read to understand the world—but more often, to understand myself. Books hold the kind of emotional truth that doesn’t always fit in real life. Writing about them helps me hold onto it.
What Drives Me
My mission with this site is simple: to make reading accessible, welcoming, and real. I want to create a space where no book is too big, too niche, or too messy to talk about. Here, every reader’s experience matters, and honest conversations replace gatekeeping. It’s about connecting through stories—whether you’re here to discover, debate, or just feel seen.
Stories have always been how I make sense of the world. Whether I’m underlining a line that stings or rereading a scene just to feel it again, I read to be moved—and to move others. This site is my way of holding space for that: for curiosity, complexity, and connection. For the kind of reading that lingers.
